Congratulations to senior Liam Chesemore on winning the Kentucky State High School Individual Chess Championship tournament on March 6, 2021. CEC’s chess team has gained prominence in recent years with back-to-back team championships, but Liam is the first player from our school to win the individual state title. He has worked very hard over the last five years to develop his God-given talent and maintains a humble attitude even after achieving this high honor.
