Chess Club

CEC’s instructional chess classes and tournament teams provide training and competitive opportunities for our students who are interested in the Royal Game. There is a place for the casual hobbyist and the serious competitor, alike.

Our middle and high school teams have multiple tournament opportunities throughout the fall and spring semesters, and qualifying players are eligible to compete for regional and state championships. Our players have won multiple individual and team state championship titles since 2016.

Chess club meets once per month and provides an informal venue for casual play on campus after school. All CEC students are eligible to participate in this free activity.
