This class will introduce students to major thinkers, works, concepts, and schools of thought throughout the history of Western Philosophy. It will introduce students to thinking clearly and making rational arguments (logic), the study of the nature of reality (metaphysics), the study of knowledge (epistemology), how we know right from wrong (ethics), and how we recognize the good, the true and the beautiful (aesthetics).
