Chess Fundamentals

Learn the basics and progress through fundamental strategies, tactics, essential openings/endgames, tournament protocols, fascinating chess history, etc. Weekly skills activities, online competition, and live practice are incorporated. No prior chess knowledge required. Class may be taken up to three times as new content is incorporated each year.

Supplies: pocket-clip folder (or binder with pockets), several pencils, pen (red or blue)

CLASS FEE:  $30 fee 1st year chess students only. Class Fee covers a standard tournament style chess set as well as other class expenses.  No required text.
