Graphic Design (New 2024-2025)

In this class, students will combine art concepts and technology in the creative process. Good design solves communication problems in an attractive, concise and effective way. This class teaches the basics of Graphic Design utilizing Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Students will gain access to the Adobe Creative Suite for the year to use on their own computer both in class and at home. Projects will include all elements of an ad campaign as well as relevant business communication.

A laptop is required for this class.

Windows:

Minimum processor Intel, AMD, or ARM processor with 64-Bit support.  Operating System:  Windows 10 (64 bit) version 1903 and later.  No less than 2GB.  4 GB Ram or more preferred.  4 GB available of hard-disk space required for installation.

macOS:

Multicore Intel processor with 64-Bit support or Apple silicon processor.  Minimum Operating System:  macOS Catalina (version 10.15) and later.  Preferred Operating System:  macOS Monterey (version 12) and later.  Ram:  No less than 4GB, 8GB or more preferred.  4GB available hard disk space; available space is required for installation.  Note:  The Creative Cloud desktop app won’t install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system.
