Art – High School

Students will study the basic principles and elements of art, color theory, sculpture, drawing, painting, print making, art history, and more. Projects will be competed in class and at home.  This course is designed to encourage students’ creativity and instill a love for art. 

Students do not need to all bring supplies to class each week.  Check Google Classroom each week to see which supplies need to be brought each individual week.  Supplies cannot be stored in the classroom.

These are suggestions of brands to buy, it is not necessary to buy these exact items but please buy similar quality art supplies. The quality and weight of paper and paint makes a huge difference. These will be the supplies needed for the year. There is no book.

Good quality 1” painters tape

A good-sized art pencil case to hold all of the art pencils and pens, erasers, sharpener, and blending stumps. Something to keep paint brushes in as well.
