The Christian Educational Consortium (CEC) is a hybrid school, established to support the families of older home schooled children who value Christian character and collegiate style academics, in order to prepare them to glorify God through their lives.
CEC was founded in 2001 by Director Beverly Clark to provide quality Christian education for homeschooled students. Originally starting with just six instructors and 40 students meeting in two rooms in a church, CEC has grown exponentially to more than 600 students and more than 40 faculty and staff members.
CEC offers more than 60 classes which meet once per week for 90-120 minutes covering subject areas including English, Math, Science, the Social Sciences, Biblical Studies, Business, Computer, Foreign Languages, the Arts, and various electives.
CEC’s extracurricular activities provide students the full school experience with programs including competitive sports, award-winning clubs, and traditional school events such as graduation, homecoming and more.
Every instructor, coach, and staff member are professing Christians who are committed to teaching, leading, and serving from a Christian worldview taking every opportunity to impart the Christian faith to our students.
We meet at the Louisville campus of Indiana Wesleyan University in Jeffersontown located at the intersection of I-64 and Blankenbaker Parkway.
Our convenient location allows for quick and easy access for families from a 50-mile radius including Jefferson county and all surrounding counties and Southern Indiana.

At the Christian Educational Consortium our educational philosophy is grounded in a biblical worldview, centered on the lordship of Jesus Christ in all areas of life and learning. We believe that education is a partnership between the home and the school. CEC’s hybrid model is intentionally designed to support families in raising godly children, since they are the ones who are ultimately responsible to God for them. Our families support the CEC faculty and staff, based on mutual respect, as our goal is to provide academic excellence within a Christ-centered framework.

Originally starting with just six instructors and 40 students meeting in a few rooms at a church, CEC has grown exponentially to more than 600 students and more than 40 faculty and staff members. The school has relocated three times due to rapid growth—from Eastside Praise to Bethany Baptist Church, and finally to Indiana Wesleyan University’s Louisville campus in 2008 with a short stint at Crestwood Baptist Church from 2020-2022.

● Servant-hearted
● Purpose-driven
CEC graduates develop Christ-like character; engage with culture purposely, confidently, and responsibility; lead by example with a servant’s heart; and foster a culture of encouragement, integrity, compassion, discipline, respect, and joy.
All Truth and wisdom is found in God’s Word. The foundation of each subject—whether English, math, science, history or electives—is taught in conjunction with Scripture. Christ is the foundation and unifying principle of all knowledge (Colossians 2:3). CEC’s primary purpose is to cultivate a personal walk with God and respect for every person as His unique creation.
Our hybrid model honors the role of parents in the discipleship of their children (Deuteronomy 6:6-7). Through the combination of in-person classroom instruction with at-home learning, we provide families with the structure, curriculum, and support they need to participate in their child’s education. This model fosters stronger family relationships and enables parents to play a significant role in the spiritual, academic, and social development of their children. This hybrid model enables students to be held accountable for their work to someone else besides their parents. In addition, the faculty, staff, and coaches at CEC actively fosters a culture of
encouragement, discipline, and joy.
We pursue academic excellence not just for the purpose of imparting information, but as a means of glorifying God and equipping students to serve Him. We challenge students to think critically, communicate effectively, and utilize their abilities in service to God’s kingdom (Romans 12:1-2).
The Christian Educational Consortium is committed to helping students develop Christ-like character, integrity, humility, and compassion. Through mentorship, biblically based instruction, as well as social opportunities, our goal is to cultivate well rounded young men and women who love God, love others, and will continue to live out their faith with humility, courage, and conviction, after graduation (Proverbs 3:5,6).
