Addison Desimone, an upcoming junior at CEC, was selected to attend the 2026 Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA) at Northern Kentucky University. GSA is a highly competitive, three-week residential summer program for rising juniors and seniors. Addison was selected in the area of Musical Theatre.
A distinguished performer, Addison continues to earn recognition for her exceptional talent and dedication. She was recently named the 2025 BroadwayWorld Louisville Award winner for Best Performer in a Musical for her starring role in Descendants. She also earned first place in Commercial Music at the 2026 Mid-South National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Competition. Her outstanding vocal performance qualified her to compete at the national level in both Commercial Music and Musical Theatre.
At CEC, Addison is an active member of the National Honor Society and serves as a student ambassador, volunteering in the front office. She is also a member of the Advanced Choir under the direction of Mrs. Whitaker.
CEC is proud of Addison’s accomplishments and looks forward to seeing all she achieves in the future. We wish her the best as she represents our school at the Governor’s School for the Arts this summer!
