Jacob started working at Culver’s in 2017 when he was just 15 years old. What began as his first job gradually turned into a career as he worked his way from team member to assistant general manager and eventually general manager.
In January 2023, he became the owner-operator of the same Culver’s where he had started as a teenager. Going from a 15-year-old team member to owning the restaurant has been an incredible journey for Jacob and something he never would have imagined when he first started.
Since becoming an owner, his goal has been to build on what made him fall in love with Culver’s in the first place: taking care of people, creating a great place to work, and making sure their guests feel genuinely welcomed every time they come through the doors.
Culver’s has given him the opportunity to grow from a team member into a business owner, but even more importantly, it has become a big part of his family’s story.
Today, Jacob and his wife have two kids, with their third one on the way, and they’re excited about what the next chapter holds. Their family and their Culver’s family continue to grow, and they’re currently planning to open their second Culver’s next year.
Looking back, it’s amazing that what started as a part-time job at 15 became a career, an ownership opportunity, and now the chance to continue growing Culver’s in the Louisville community.
