English 11/12 – British Literature and Comp (2026-2027)
Taught from a Christian worldview, utilizing the Prentice Hall series, this class will conduct an overview of British literature. Students will develop both creative and academic writing skills, culminating in a research paper and oral presentation. An online writing portfolio will be developed throughout the year. Students will have the opportunity to take the CLEP exam as well at the end of the year for college credit.

No additional class fee. For reading books, any unabridged edition is acceptable. The price of textbooks varies on Amazon and also can often be found for sale on CEC Families Facebook page. Books may also be available at Kurriculum Korner. The 8th edition MLA handbook is fine because the 9th edition did not make pertinent stylistic changes.
