Softball

The softball program is entering its 5th season. The program was started by Coach Gina Renfro and has grown to roster 20-25 players on Varsity and JV. Coach Bryce Raley, former assistant coach, took over the program in the summer of 2024 and still leads it today. CEC softball typically schedules up and pushes our program to level up each and every year. We step on the field annually with top teams like Eastern, Butler, Sacred Heart, Fern Creek, North Bullitt, Holy Cross, and Atherton. We also play rivalry games against many other Christian programs in the region. Our mantra is that we can always accomplish 3 things when we’re focused. We can compete to win, have fun and develop student athletes. If we balance these 3 well, then success often follows.

Practices
January 1x per week, February 2x per week, early March multiple days when weather allows, during the season 1x per week

Games
We schedule about 35 Varsity Games and 20 JV games. With Spring weather, we typically end up playing 30 Varsity and 15 JV. We usually make an overnight trip somewhere in Kentucky. We play in 1-2 weekend Quad or Triangles and host an annual Invitational Tournament and we founded and run the LCIT (Louisville Christian Invitational Tournament) We play and/or practice on most days besides Sundays and Wednesdays
