The course is a great starting point for computer science covering topics such as programming, physical computing, HTML/CSS, and data. Students use computer science to create, communicate, problem solve, and have fun! The course will teach the students to build their own websites, apps, games, and physical computers. Students who take this class will be better prepared to take the High School Computer Science class.
Supplies:
1.) To be brought to class each week: Personal Laptop PC with current operating system Windows 8 or 10 or Mac OSX (Note: Not all features of Microsoft Office work well on a Mac. A PC is preferred over a Mac. Also, Chromebooks DO NOT WORK AT ALL for this class)
2.) A USB drive – 8 GB is sufficient
3.) 2” binder with 5 binder tabs (to be kept at home)
