Students begin the school year learning the proper techniques for typing. Next they will become familiar with the basic principles and terminology of computer technology. MS Office software application skills will be taught. Students will gain practice in using key applications: Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, as well as understanding social and ethical issues in the cyber world.
Supplies:
1.) To be brought to class each week: Personal Laptop PC with current operating system Windows 8 or 10 or Mac OSX (Note: Not all features of Microsoft Office work well on a Mac. A PC is preferred over a Mac. Also, Chromebooks DO NOT WORK AT ALL for this class)
2.) Microsoft Office Software Home & Student 2013 or 2016 or Office 365 installed on the laptop
3.) A USB drive – 8 GB is sufficient
