Middle School Bible 8-9

This class is an exploration of the New Testament with a focus on how Jesus fulfills the Old Testament Scriptures by completing both its storyline and themes. Assignments will ask students to engage Scripture with their imaginations (e.g. retell Mark 6:30-56 as a song/poem, rewrite Peter’s Acts 2 sermon in your own words) and their minds (e.g. compare/contrast Mary and Zechariah, trace the theme of mountain in Matthew). Tests will cover big picture ideas, not specific details (dates, city names, verse references, etc.).

Paper and pen/pencil to be used for notetaking.
