The Christian Educational Consortium welcomes Christians of a plethora of denominations and beliefs. As a Consortium, it is our first priority to glorify God in all that we do, believing that man’s chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
Every subject of the CEC curriculum is taught from an evangelical Christian world view. Each teacher is interviewed and asked to give his/her testimony and description of involvement with a local church. It is not necessary to agree with every part of the statement of faith to be CEC student. It is, however, imperative that each student respects the faith of other students at CEC, agreeing to agree or to disagree on various points of doctrine.
The goal of the Christian Educational Consortium is to lead young men and women to a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and to equip them with the knowledge that they will need to shine as a light in the world.
We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testament, is inspired by the Holy Spirit, is inerrant in the original manuscript, and is the infallible and authoritative Word of God. (Deuteronomy 4:2; Psalm 19:7-9; Proverbs 30: 5-6; I Corinthians 2:13)
We believe that there is one true God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1-3; John 1:1-4; Isaiah 44:6-8)
We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ, the Savior, the only begotten Son of God, in His deity, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitution and atoning death through His shed blood, in His resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His continuous intercession for His people and His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1, 2, 14, 18; Luke 1: 34-35; Luke 24:27; Hebrews 4:5; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 3:23-26; Romans 8: 34)
We believe in God the Holy Spirit, the Helper and Comforter, in His daily guidance and revelation of truth, in His conviction of sin, righteousness, and judgment, in His indwelling presence at the moment of salvation, sealing the believer into the body of Christ, imparting spiritual gifts, convicting and drawing sinners to Christ, and enabling the believer to live a godly life. (John 3:5-8; John 14: 16-17; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 12:13; MARK 1:8; I Corinthians 6:19; Ephesians 1:13; I Corinthians 12:4-11)
We believe in the Genesis account of creation. (Genesis, Ch. 1 and 2.)
The first woman and man fell in the Garden of Eden. Satan was the author and reason for the fall. Mankind inherited Adam’s sinful nature, and unless a man or woman is born again by the Holy Spirit of God through the remission of sins, and the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, he/she will not see the kingdom of God. (Genesis 3:6-7; John 3:3-15; John 3:16; Romans 3:23; Acts 5: 3; II Corinthians 4:4.)
We believe that salvation is the gift of God’s grace and is free for those who put their faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross. (John 1:12; Acts 16:30-33; Romans 10: 9-10.)
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ and is composed of all those who put their faith in Christ. We believe the Church is for mutual encouragement and discipline. We believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper. (Matthew 18: 15-17; Colossians 1:18; I Corinthians 12:12-13; Hebrews 10: 25; Acts 2:41; I Corinthians 11: 23-24.)
The Christian Walk
We believe that although a believer might sin, all believers are called to live holy lives through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe that we are to minister in His name to a needy world. (Galatians 1:6 and 5:16; I Thessalonians 4: 7; Matthew 25: 31-46.)
