The Christian Educational Consortium is a private non-profit 501c3 school which provides a blended education for older home educated students, grades 6-12, giving them an opportunity to attend traditional academic classes in a Christian setting from August until May. During class, students are assigned homework to be completed during the course of the school week.
The Renweb computer program keeps CEC families up to date with assignments, announcements and grades. The Renweb system also provides immediate access to instructors through an email system. Report Cards are mailed home each quarter and transcripts are available upon request.
Established for families who value Christian character and collegiate-style academics, CEC helps to prepare young adults to glorify God in their lives.CEC offers more than 60 classes in the following areas:
English, Math, Science, the Social Sciences, Biblical Studies, Business, Computer, Foreign Languages, the Arts, and various electives.
If they choose to do so, CEC students are able to complete all their core high school classes through the Christian Educational Consortium. Rigorous core classes assist students to prepare for the CLEP, AP examinations, and/or dual credit through Boyce College and Indiana Wesleyan University. CEC instructors have college degrees and classroom teaching experience.
In addition to academics, CEC offers a sports program of soccer, basketball, volleyball, track, and baseball. Clubs include The Eta Sigma Alpha Honor Society, the Latin Club, an award winning Robotics Club, the FCA, and the Rotary Interact Service Club. There are plays, fall and winter socials, and a spring prom. In May there is a CEC Graduation ceremony at the Alumni Chapel at the Southern Baptist Seminary.
